Solar Technologies Expands Product Line

Solar Technologies announces its alliance with SunPower Corporation, a Silicon Valley-based manufacturer of high-efficiency solar cells, photovoltaic panels and solar systems.

Solar Technologies, headquartered in Santa Cruz, California with an office in Silicon Valley, is now an authorized dealer for SunPower products. This addition provides a new dimension to their previous offering, which included Mitsubishi and Sanyo PV panels as well as SMA and Solectria inverters.

This new product line addresses the problem of limited roof and ground space for many prospective solar candidates. The solar cells in SunPower PV panels are known for their ability to generate 50% more power than conventional cells through superior light capture and enhanced temperature performance.

“We’re very excited about offering SunPower products which will decrease the number of panels required for energy generation. This opens up the market for a new range of solar users that couldn’t previously take advantage of the technology due to space restraints,”  said Roger DeNault, owner of Solar Technologies.

The sleek, all black design of the SunPower panels is also an aesthetic draw that helps the panels blend with the environment. They are free of metal gridlines that create reflective patterns and make it a popular choice for many home and business owners.
